Molokai trip with the eastside outkastaz part 1

September 1st, 2010 | By Blaine

hey all! its been quite some time since i wrote a blog, so cut me some slack and enjoy this. sorry there are a ton of pictures so i have to split this trip into 2 postings. thanks to cindy domingo who is part of our club for taking the fantastic pics.

every year our fishing club puts on a shoreline fishing tournament called the “GT Masters”. GT stands for “giant trevally” or “ulua” which is a coveted fish among local fishermen. here is the club kicking back a few after this past years GT Masters. as you can see, the club consists of only EXTREMELY handsome men. its part of the pre-requisite…

our flight leaving to Molokai departed at about 730am so most of us were there by 630am. sorry bout the blurry pic, i think the camera was still groggy too.

russ was so tired that he wore 2 different types of slippers. it was the running joke for the duration of the trip. that russooo, always making fashion statements. even when on fishing trips.

this was the beach house that we used as a home base. we “fished” all night so we were basically here during daytime only and boy was it beatiful. Lanai in the background.

there was a number of these going down at the beach house as well as all weekend long. thanks COORS!!! down with budlight!

time to head out for the first night of fishing!!! first night: Hale O Lono (i hope i didnt butcher that name too badly. sorry if i did.)

oh yeah!!!

we had about 5 or so strikes throughout the night but nothing stuck. of course Russ caught a couple O’io, so the night wasnt a wash.

this one was almost 6lb!

brother John Takata also plugged this buck for dinner. the meat was MEAN.

end of part 1. will finish the rest of the post next week.
